Dream (夢 — Yume) is a luminous exploration of a magical, nocturnal moment. The piece was born from a personal request from the artist’s mother to paint the white magnolia—a flower of purity and nobility. Here, it is reimagined under the silver glow of a Parisian moon.

The composition captures a rare, dreamy atmosphere: white pigeons, marked with subtle touches of black, rest amidst the translucent petals of a magnolia in full bloom. In the bottom corner, the iconic silhouette of a Haussmann building anchors the scene in the heart of Paris. This work is a study in contrast, where the deep shadows of night serve only to make the white of the birds and the flowers shine with an almost supernatural light.

The Craftsmanship This print utilizes the full range of the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100, specifically its ability to render "dense blacks" alongside delicate, glowing highlights. Printed on 250g heavy-weight Japanese Washi, the texture of the paper adds a soft, ethereal quality to the moonlight, making the magnolia petals feel as though they are radiating light from within the frame.
