- 和 - The Art of the Presence

Finding Inner Peace in a Noisy World.

In the rush of the city, we have become masters of efficiency but strangers to our surroundings. We move from point A to B, eyes locked on screens, trading the quality of our time for the speed of progress. I chose to put my phone away and simply look at the life right in front of me.

When you truly pay attention, the street reveals its character. I see it in the "cow-patterned" feathers of a stray pigeon or a single flower claiming its space in a concrete corner. To me, the pigeon is a mirror. They have lived alongside us for centuries—ignored and rushed—yet they survive with a defiant attitude. They look us in the eye with a bended neck as if to ask: "What are you looking at?"

In each of my paintings, there is a "Little Observer." He is an odd presence—someone who doesn't quite belong to the scene, yet he is there anyway, hiding and watching the world of pigeons and flowers unfold.

I invite you to join my newsletter. It is a quiet space where I share these small discoveries, the stories behind my 15 annual original works, and early access to new art print launches and exhibition openings.

Occasionally, I open the doors to my Paris atelier for a private visit. It is an opportunity to see the artworks in person and get to know each other over a cup of tea. These visits are rare and handled personally; if you would like to stop by, please reach out to me via email or Instagram DM to coordinate a time.
