The Art of the Tribute

A memorial is more than a likeness; it is a return. Whether honoring a champion racing pigeon or a cherished companion, I use a detailed layering process to capture the specific spirit of your bird.

My work bridges the gap between traditional craft and personal history, creating a permanent home for the memories that matter most.

Specializations

1. Avian Memorials

For those who have lost a companion. I work closely with you to translate photographs and memories into a soulful portrait. These pieces often include symbolic elements—like a favorite flower—to ground the memory in beauty.

2. The Champion’s Legacy (Racing Pigeons)

Dedicated to the racing community. I capture the iridescent grace and the powerful anatomy of your top performers. These are not just portraits; they are records of excellence, designed to last for generations.

3. Floral & Botanical Pairings

Every bird has a story. I often pair my subjects with specific botanical elements (such as safflowers or seasonal blooms) that hold personal meaning to the collector, creating a balanced, symbolic composition.

4. Other Ideas

If you want any other subjects, you can still contact me on Instagram, and let's see if it works out.

The Process

  • The Dialogue: Every commission begins with a conversation. We discuss the bird’s personality, your shared history, and any specific symbols you wish to include.

  • The Study: I perform a deep visual study of the subject, ensuring the gaze and the posture are unmistakably theirs.

  • The Creation: Using archival pigments and hand-selected washi papers, I build the piece layer by layer in my Paris studio.

  • The Completion: You receive a work of art that is archival, intentional, and deeply personal.

- 和 - The Art of Presence

In a world obsessed with efficiency, I put my phone away to find the "Little Observer" hiding within the defiant character of city pigeons and street flowers.
